Performance of Split-type Air Conditioner under Varied Outdoor Air Temperature at Constant Relative Humidity

Studies related to the effects of ambient temperature on performance an air conditioning unit have been carried out for decades. However, specific study concerning effect varied under constant relative humidity has not reported yet. This paper discusses operating conditions and conditioner with R32 nominal capacity 2.6 kW. The test was in a controlled psychrometric chamber 50% outdoor from 24 38°C. increase affects conditioner. Generally, if increases by 1°C evaporating 0.27°C. Meanwhile, refrigerant suction temperature, discharge condensing 0.08°C, 1.08°C, 1.04°C, respectively. Under same tests, cooling decreases 1% power consumption 1.6%. In addition, energy efficiency ratio 2.1% per temperature.
